Cougar has announced two new chairs: the budget-friendly Stryder and the more feature-rich Defensor S. While the former follows a more Ikea-like design, the latter is your usual bucket-seat gaming chair with some features offering a decent amount of customisation so you can adjust it to your liking.
The Stryder is positioned as Cougar’s most accessible ergonomic chair, with a contemporary design that would look right at home in a home office. It features a contoured lumbar zone, a wide seat with multi-density foam, an adjustable headrest, and flip-up armrests that allow you to easily slide the chair under a desk or create more space.
For something more premium-looking, there’s the new Defensor S. With its “PushBack” lumbar support system, the chair dynamically adjusts pressure on the lower back to maintain spinal alignment during long sessions. The chair also boasts a larger and deeper seat, a magnetic memory foam neck pillow, and versatile 4D armrests that can be folded away completely when not in use. Additionally, the chair is upholstered in a breathable leather-like fabric, preventing excessive heat buildup when sitting on the chair for extended periods, and features a back pocket for storage.
The Stryder is set to launch in October with a very aggressive starting price of just $129 for the black and grey versions and $139 for the white model. As for the Defensor S, it will be available in green, blue, and black in October for $329.
