Sentinel Gaming PC (5090, 14900KF)

NVD GeForce RTX 5090 32GB, Intel 24-Core i9-14900KF Processor, 64GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, WiFi 6E, Windows 11 Pro – 360mm Liquid Cooled

What this PC brings to the table?

RTX 5090

The title of the most powerful consumer graphics card in the world belongs to the RTX 5090, and with this GPU in this gaming PC, you should have a smooth and stable working and gaming experience. This GPU features 32GB of GDDR7 VRAM and a bandwidth of 1.7 TB. This should be enough for any level of intense workflows, and when we reviewed the MSI RTX 5090 Suprim SOC in-house, we were seriously impressed.

Although this may not be the GPU you receive with this gaming PC, it should still give you an idea of the level of performance to expect. While testing this graphics card, we got 110 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at ultra settings and 152 FPS in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. All of the other titles also ran at high framerates natively at 4K, which was not surprising to see.

So, whether you’re training AI models, gaming 4K, or have a multi-monitor gaming setup, the RTX 5090 should be able to push through everything with ease.

Intel Core i9-14900KF

The Intel Core i9-14900KF is a variant of the flagship 14900K and is considered a flagship CPU as well, because there isn’t a significant difference between the two, other than the former not having integrated graphics. However, that shouldn’t be an issue when you’ve got the RTX 5090 at your disposal.

This processor has 24 cores and 32 threads and is based on the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture. The maximum boost clock of this CPU is 6GHz, and it can pull 253W of power. We haven’t tested this variant, but we have put the 14900K through its paces in our testing lab. When we stress tested it, it easily reached 100°C and thermal throttled by 10%.

So, you’ll need to invest in a robust CPU cooler for the 14900KF to keep it from overheating. That being said, for everyday use, it shouldn’t overheat so quickly as stress testing pushes the CPU to its utmost limit, which is a special scenario.

Other components

This gaming PC features 64GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB NVMe SSD. So, you’ll have plenty of space for various applications, while the system memory should be enough to tackle even the most demanding workflows. You’ll have a 360mm AIO cooler, which is great, to keep the 14900KF running in optimal condition, but the best part is the gaming keyboard and mouse you’ll get. So, you won’t have to spend more to complete your setup and get started with gaming or work as soon as you get this PC.

Should you get this gaming PC?

If you’re looking for extreme performance and want a PC that can handle anything you throw its way without breaking a sweat, then this is an option worth serious consideration. The 14900KF should be able to handle multi-threaded tasks with ease, while the RTX 5090 is a gaming behemoth, and the combination of these two components should deliver next-level performance.

That being said, this isn’t a cheap gaming PC by any means, but if you don’t want to compromise on performance and want an option that will last for the foreseeable future, the Sentinel gaming PC should be on your radar.
