Several new preschool games are heading to Netflix this fall as the streamer doubles down on building out a more attractive play offering for kids.
This latest batch of releases includes three Dr. Seuss games developed exclusively for Netflix: Dr. Seuss’s Horton! (where players can explore a jungle and meet new friends), Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches (a science-inspired game featuring the character Stella Sneetch) and Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish (pictured above; with adventures spanning everything from magical concerts to hot air balloon rides).
Netflix has also acquired three existing gaming apps from some of its key kids & family content partners—PAW Patrol Academy, Toca Boca Hair Salon 4 and LEGO DUPLO World. These titles will be fully unlocked and available to all of the the streamer’s members, regardless of which tier they subscribe to.
Sesame Street and S2 of Ms. Rachel will launch this fall on Netflix.
Last but not least, Netflix is also planning to debut a previously teased Sesame Street game soon, though details about this title are scarce. When the streamer locked down rights to the iconic preschool show in May (after HBO opted not to renew its deal), Netflix emphasized that games based on both Sesame Street and Sesame Street Mecha Builders were in the pipeline.
November 10 has been confirmed as the launch date for Sesame Street on the platform, and season two of Ms. Rachel will drop next week (September 1) following the first season’s impressive viewership gains. The title has consistently been on Netflix’s Global Top 10 list since it launched in February.
