With the sequel on its way to Steam later this year, Puck Redflix is bringing their original anomaly-hunting horror game Captured to PlayStation 5 next month on September 12. Xbox users won’t be left out, as Captured will also be coming to the Xbox Series the following month on October 7.
First launching on Steam last October, Captured is an analog horror game where you capture anomalies on camera to escape what seems to be an endless hallway in your own home. Leaving the house only leads you right back into the same hallway. As a result, you explore a procedurally-generated endless hallway filled with strange phenomena and ever-changing rooms.
Break the loop and escape by exercising your memory skills. Use your camera to zoom in on suspicious changes and select their anomaly type. Missing or incorrectly identifying any unusual phenomena within a loop will wipe your camera’s memory. You’ll need to correctly capture 13 anomalies in order to escape.
However, you’re not alone in this loop. Three monsters, each with unique traits and mechanics, are lurking about the house. While silence may be a good tactic, staying too long within a loop could give away your location. Use your flashlight, camera, and the doors strategically to survive each entity.
