What is in this gaming PC?

Ryzen 7 7800X3D

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the former world’s best gaming processor, and even though all the attention is on the 9800X3D, its predecessor can still pull its weight in the modern landscape. You can pair this CPU with any high-end GPU without experiencing a CPU bottleneck, and with it in this gaming PC, you should get excellent gaming results at lower resolutions.

In our 7800X3D review, we coupled it with the RTX 4070 Ti Super and ran a handful of synthetic tests such as Blender, Geekbench, Cinebench, and more. It showcased pretty good performance, but for productivity, an “X” processor would be better, as the previous generation of X3D processors weren’t known for their productivity.

RTX 5060 (8GB)

The RTX 5060 is the entry-level graphics card in the RTX 50-series lineup and serves as a solid option for low-resolution gaming. We haven’t reviewed the RTX 5060 yet, but to paint a picture of its performance, we’ll leverage the plenty of reviews available online. TechPowerUp reviewed the ZOTAC RTX 5060 solo, and according to their testing, this GPU churned out 140, 98, and 56 FPS at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K in Elden Ring.

Cyberpunk 2077 was only playable till 1440p as it managed 62 FPS and 102 FPS at 1080p. At 4K, the framerate dropped to 28 FPS, which showcased the limitations of this GPU. That being said, you could turn on DLSS 4 and MFG to boost the FPS, but playing games at FHD and QHD would be much better.

Other components

This gaming PC will come with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD, a 240mm AIO cooler, WiFi capabilities, decent I/O options, and pre-installed Windows 11. This should be more than enough for working and gaming and should keep you at the top of your game regardless of the workflow at hand.

Who’s this deal for?

The Ocean of Stars gaming PC has decent hardware, and for $1,269.99, we think it is worth checking out if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. The PC case is very stylish, and you’ll also get an AIO cooler for maximum cooling. The 7800X3D should be able to easily keep up with the RTX 5060 for 1080p and 1440p gaming.

The only aspect that you might need to upgrade is the storage, as 1TB might not be enough, depending on your work, but besides, the system memory should deliver great efficiency and performance in a number of workloads.
