The International Gaming Standards Association on Monday announced that Mike Dreitzer, the new chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, will be the featured keynote at the organization’s GSATS event.

According to a news release, Dreitzer’s vision for Nevada’s gaming future centers on modernization, transparency, and efficient oversight, with a strong focus on how technology and innovation will drive sustainable growth in the Nevada market.

“Nevada is a leader in the gaming industry and is a trailblazing jurisdiction that regulates some of the most advanced gaming technologies,” IGSA Board Chairman Nimish Purohit in a statement. “The board is grateful to the Chairman to share his vision with our members and the industry.”

IGSA President Mark Pace added that the organization is “honored” to have Dreitzer address GSATS attendees.

“His industry knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we look to integrate the many new technologies into the highly regulated gaming industry,” Pace said. “IGSA will continue to work on developing standards and best practices, growing its relevance and impact, and the chairman’s participation at GSATS further strengthens our mission.”

IGSA’s annual technology summit is in Phoenix, Arizona, at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino November 12-13. The two-day educational conference goal is to provide legislators, regulators and industry decision makers in-depth information and examples of how technology can be used to help continue to evolve the gaming industry.
