An air ambulance landed on a seafront as a “distressing” incident sparked a huge emergency response.
Paramedics were seen treating a man in Hampton, near Herne Bay, before he was airlifted to a London hospital.

Seven ambulances and five police cars joined the air ambulance crew next to Swalecliffe Avenue car park.
George Batten, who lives nearby, said “there was so much shock and panic” when he first saw emergency services at about 7.30pm.
“There were lots of young people – teenagers – that were very distressed and upset,” he said.
“Police had taped off an area next to the Londis shop nearby.”
The air ambulance left the scene at about 8.30pm.
The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
