According to data released by Macau’s Financial Services Bureau, the Macau government’s revenue from gaming taxes in July was approximately MOP$8.11 billion (US$1.01 billion), largely in line with the MOP$8.16 billion collected in June.

The July tax figure correlates to Macau’s gross gaming revenues for the month of June, when GGR came in at MOP$21.1 billion (US$2.60 billion) – up 19.0% year-on-year but slightly down compared with May.

For the first seven months of the year combined, the government’s revenue from gaming taxes reached MOP$53.4 billion (US$6.64 billion), up 3.4% compared with the same period in 2024.

Total government revenue for the period was MOP$63.3 billion (US$7.87 billion), with gaming tax accounting for 86.3% of the total.

The government has announced an annual budget of MOP$93.1 billion (US$11.6 billion) for gaming duty revenue in FY25, meaning tax for the first seven months of 2025 has reached 60.3% of the budget.
