When is Tottenham’s league phase draw for the 2025–26 Champions League?
Tottenham fans will not need to wait too long for clarity on their European fixtures, as the 2025–26 Champions League league phase draw takes place on Thursday, 28 August at 6 p.m. BST (12 p.m. ET, 9 a.m. PT).

The draw will be staged in Monaco and broadcast live on UEFA’s official website and YouTube channel, allowing Spurs supporters to tune in from anywhere.
How does the league phase work?
The last time Tottenham were in the Champions League, back in 2022–23, the format was different, with no league phase in place. This time, however, things have changed considerably.
Spurs will play eight matches in the league phase, with all 36 clubs split into four separate pots. Each team will play two matches against sides from each pot, one at home and one away.
Once all eight fixtures are completed, the top eight sides automatically qualify for the round of 16, while those finishing from ninth to 24th enter a two-legged play-off to join them. From there, the competition reverts to the traditional knockout format.
