‘I am falling in love with Tottenham’ – Thomas Frank makes statement fans will adore

Tottenham fans will love what Thomas Frank said following his side’s win at the Etihad Stadium, the Dane admitting that he is quickly growing to love his new surroundings.

Frank has had a very impressive start to life at Tottenham, who have comfortably beaten Burnley and Man City in their first two Premier League games while managing to keep clean sheets in both.

The Lilywhites were also a penalty shootout away from beating Paris Saint-Germain and getting their hands on the UEFA Super Cup.

That performance, combined with their latest showing against Pep Guardiola’s side, is evidence that they can be a match for anyone this season.

Thomas Frank is feeling very good about life at Tottenham

The Dane could not have hoped for a better start to his time at N17, and he admits that he is ‘falling in love’ with the Lilywhites.

Frank revealed that he was mightily pleased with what he saw from his players on Saturday, describing their second-half performance as exceptional.

The Tottenham boss told TNT Sports after the 2-0 win over Man City:

“Very pleasing result and overall performance. The first 35 minutes City were slightly on top. That goal helped. A big thing in these games against City, who are a top team, is stay in the game and keep doing what you’re doing.

“In the second half, we were exceptional in many ways. We constantly went for the 3-0 goal, which unfortunately we didn’t get. It was the second clean sheet in a row. Last year we got six. That’s been a big thing for me. I loved Brentford, and I am falling in love with this club here [Tottenham].”

Frank has won over the Tottenham players and fans

Several Tottenham players have said that they are loving working with Thomas Frank, and it is clear to see that the squad has bought into the Dane’s ideas.

That is a huge credit to the 51-year-old and his coaching staff, who were walking into a tough environment as there was anger in the Spurs dressing room with Ange Postecoglou’s sacking.

It is fair to say that the former Brentford boss is also quickly winning over the supporters, who are delighted to see the team show some defensive control and tactical nous, which was missing for large parts of the last two seasons.
