Luka Vuskovic is on the verge of completing a loan move from Tottenham Hotspur to a newly promoted Bundesliga club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The teenager impressed in pre-season, and he was named on the bench in Tottenham’s Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain and their Premier League season opener against Burnley.
Vuskovic has attracted loan interest from a whole host of clubs across Europe, which is not surprising, given how well the young centre-back did for Westerlo in Belgian football last term.
Since the start of the summer, it was reported that the Bundesliga is likely to be Vuskovic’s destination this summer, and that has proven to be correct.
Luka Vuskovic set to join Hamburg on loan from Tottenham
The Tottenham man’s older brother, Mario, plays for Hamburg, and it was reported earlier this month that the German club had agreed personal terms with Vuskovic ahead of a potential loan switch.
It now appears that the Lilywhites are on the verge of giving the green light for the Croat to complete a temporary move to the Volksparkstadion.
Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to confirm that Hamburg are currently in negotiations with Tottenham, with the two parties expected to reach an agreement soon.

Spurs turned down an offer from Turkish giants for Vuskovic
It was reported earlier this month that Spurs turned down Besiktas’ loan approach for Vuskovic.
It was explained that the Premier League side felt the youngster might struggle to cope with the high-pressure environment at the Istanbul giants.
Spurs may have considered sending Vuskovic on loan to a Championship club so that he can get accustomed to the physicality of English football.
However, the Bundesliga is a competition that closely mirrors the Premier League in intensity, and it will do a world of good for the youngster’s development if he can get regular game time at Hamburg.
