Mask-clad youths who reportedly shot birds dead with a catapult have prompted a police investigation.
Two boys, described as white, are alleged to have maimed the animals in Trinity Road, Ashford, between 7pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday.

Thought to be about 17 years old, one was dressed in a turquoise tracksuit, while the other wore a black one.
Peter New of the Community Neighbourhood Watch is urging anyone with information to get in touch.
He said: “They were wearing masks, and one appeared to have a voice box type disguising device around his throat.
“The route these youths took was around Freathy Lane and Trinity Road, and then they left Trinity Road via Friesian Way into Guernsey Way and Goteley Mere.

“If by chance someone knows these youths, you can speak to me and name them in total confidence.”
A police spokesman added: “We received a report that a group of young people with catapults were targeting wildlife in Trinity Road, Ashford, on Wednesday, August 20.
“During the call, it was stated the group had moved on, but initial enquiries to establish the circumstances remain ongoing.”
In March 2022, Mr New set up a petition calling for carrying a catapult to be made illegal.
It is not currently illegal to own or carry a catapult, and action can be taken only if a solid link between the carrier and a crime can be established.
