If you’re looking for a great gaming PC for 1440p, but at a price point that makes sense, then this is the deal for you. Right now, over at Newegg, this Stormcraft RTX 5070Ti gaming PC is down $400, dropping it to $1,899.99. That’s a very good price for something that also packs a top-end Intel 14th Gen processor, loads of RAM, and a large NVMe SSD.

The great thing about this deal is that it’s nowhere near the pricing of most RTX 5080 models, making it a much easier choice if you’re weighing up between the two types of PCs. This PC gives you a lot of bang-for-your-buck, in our opinion, and is well worth considering at its current price.

What’s in this Stormcraft Skyhawk Pro gaming PC?

GPU

You’ve got an RTX 5070Ti in this PC, which is a good middle-of-the-road option from the 50-series. Unlike the RTX 5060 with its 8GB of VRAM, the 5070Ti has 12GB, allowing it to handle 1440p much better. We haven’t had the chance to test the RTX 5070Ti just yet; however, there are some benchmarks available on the Newegg product listing that can give you an indicator of its performance.

Notably, with MW3, it claims you get 270fps at 1080p and 240fps at 1440p. With Black Myth Wukong, it can get 40fps at 4K. It’s unclear if these are with DLSS and MFG, and there’s also no indication of which settings these games are using, but from our knowledge of the card, we’d place this as a good option for 1440p at high settings and 1080p at very high frame rates.

CPU

This build ops for a 14th Gen Intel CPU, the impressive i9-14900KF. This processor boasts 24 cores, 32 threads, 125W TDP, a 6GHz boost clock, and 36MB L3 cache. Essentially, it’s a power-hungry, high-end CPU that’s great for gaming, but also excellent for multitasking and other CPU-intensive activities, like 3D rendering or editing high-resolution video.

We reviewed the i9-14900K and were impressed with its performance, even though it wasn’t quite the generational leap we expected it to be. We’d say it’s a great processor for the RTX 5070Ti, and for some, the higher boost clock may be preferable (and more affordable) to some of the Core Ultra offerings.

Storage and RAM

For RAM, this PC has 32GB of DDR5 with 6000MHz speeds. There’s no CAS latency listed, which would complete the picture, but, generally speaking, these speeds place it in the middle-upper range when it comes to DDR5 performance. There’s some ARGB there, which adds some visual flair to this build, too.

For storage, you’ve got a 2TB NVMe SSD, which is more than enough for loads of 4K video footage, AAA games, and more. It’s a Gen4 SSD, so read and write speeds are likely to be around 5000 to 6000 Mb/s, maybe less, but that won’t be a big deal for most people.

Other features

It features an 850W power supply and 360mm AIO cooling, so everything is working at its best. It does scale back a little in terms of connectivity, though, offering only WIFI 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Not a bad trade-off considering the price, however.

Who’s this deal for?

We’d say this PC sits very much in the mid-range when it comes to 50-series offerings, and is great if you want something for 1440p in particular. Its CPU is also good if you’re using it for more than just gaming, too. For the price of $1,899.99, it’s a great deal, and roughly $1000 less than what you’d pay for an RTX 5080 gaming PC.

If you are looking for something cheaper, but good for 1080p gaming, we’d say look at the RTX 5060Ti models. Check out our top gaming PC deals below to see what’s on offer.
