If there’s one type of game that’s consistently great for gaming families, it’s LEGO games. Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and the LEGO Group announced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a new LEGO video game coming to PC and consoles in 2026.
Legacy of the Dark Knight is going all-in on the Bat-verse, exploring decades of comics, television, and films, while retaining the trademark humor of LEGO.
Gotham City is fully open world, with puzzles to find, rewards to collect, and crimes to thwart. Batman comes equipped with lots of gadgets and vehicles to get around, including grapple launcher, glider, and the iconic Batmobile from the Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy.
Batman also has some special moves when it comes to combat, including combos, counters, and takedowns. Wait, is this the follow-up to the Arkham series we always wanted?
Batman’s allies are also playable, and feature their own weapons and gear, from Catwoman’s whip to Commissioner Gordon’s, er, foam sprayer. Plus, Legacy of the Dark Knight goes even further with new enhanced difficulty settings, creating a more challenging experience than other LEGO games (if you want).
And yes, it supports two player local co-op!
“All of us at TT Games are incredibly proud to reveal LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a brand-new game that’s a real celebration of everything Batman,” said Jonathan Smith, Strategic Director & Head of Development Team, TT Games. “We take players on Bruce Wayne’s epic journey to become the legendary hero of Gotham City, incorporating iconic moments from across Batman’s history with our special LEGO twist. Our all-new crime-fighting combat features are amazing fun and take LEGO gameplay to an entirely new level.”
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will release in 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. It has not yet been rated by the ESRB (but every LEGO action game gets E10+).
