Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League fixtures against Leeds United, Aston Villa and Everton in October have been rescheduled.
Tottenham began their Premier League campaign in style, with the Lilywhites easing to a 3-0 win against Burnley at home on opening day.
It was the perfect start to the Thomas Frank era, and the North Londoners have already shown a level of defensive organisation and tactical versatility that Spurs fans hope will become the hallmark of the side under the Dane.
The former Brentford boss faces a tough test early into his time at Tottenham, with a trip to Etihad Stadium up next, and things get even tougher for the club during September and October.
New dates and times announced for Tottenham’s October fixtures
As Spurs Web previously covered, Tottenham face ‘a month of death’ from mid-October to mid-November as they take on Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal within a space of a few weeks.
However, there are a couple of more straightforward games in between, including a trip to Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It has now been revealed that the dates and times for three of Tottenham’s fixtures in October have been changed. Here are the new dates for the club’s clash against Leeds, Aston Villa and Everton:
The Champions League will add to Tottenham’s difficulty
What will make the period between mid-October and mid-November even trickier to navigate for the Lilywhites is the emergence of the Champions League.
The new format of the competition will see Spurs play eight games in the league phase instead of the six group stage fixtures in the old format.
Thomas Frank will thus need a big squad to cope with the rigours of Europe and the Premier League, which is something the club could not manage last season.
