We’ve stumbled across a discounted PC from the folks at iBUYPOWER that comes with 32GB RAM, a 2TB SSD, and the impressive Ryzen 9 9900X that we think is well worth your time.

Right now, this Y40 Pro RTX 5080 gaming PC is $600 off, bringing its price down from $3,099.99 to $2,499.99. What’s in this iBuyPower Y40 Pro PC?

GPU

This PC has the impressive Nvidia RTX 5080 16GB graphics card, which we’ve reviewed here in our testing labs. It’s a great card for 1440p and 4K, and goes to a whole new level when you use DLSS and MFG. To give you an idea of raw performance, this card achieved 35fps at 4K, ultra settings with Ray Tracing on with Cyberpunk 2077, and 68fps at 1440p with the same settings.

CPU

Unlike some of the other RTX 5080 builds we’ve seen, this PC opts for a non-X3D Ryzen processor, but one that’s still a powerhouse and great for more than just gaming. The Ryzen 9 9900X boasts 12 cores, 24 threads, a boost clock of 5.6GHz, 120W TDP, and a large 64MB L3 cache. We had mixed feelings about this processor in our review, but it’s still a good option to pair with this GPU if you’re looking to keep overall costs down, as seems to be the objective with this PC.

RAM and storage

Nothing too special to see here, but still very good for the price. This PC features 32GB of DDR5 RAM with 5200Mhz speeds, which is good enough, but not mind-blowing. For most people, it won’t be noticeable, and this system will still feel incredibly responsive and be able to handle multiple applications with ease.

As for the storage, it’s difficult to see which generation the SSD is from the product listings of this PC. We’d say, given the price, it could be a Gen4 NVMe SSD, but we can only speculate. That being said, 2TB is more than enough storage for most people and can hold a large gaming library, hours of 4K footage, and more with ease.

Who’s this deal for?

This PC is probably one of the best-priced RTX 5080 options we’ve come across, and while it doesn’t pack the very latest Ryzen X3D processor, opting for an older model, it’s still a powerhouse capable of blasting through modern titles in 4K with ease. Considering most RTX 5080 gaming PCs tend to average out at around $3000, this is a deal well worth your consideration in our eyes.
