Emergency services scrambled to crash on main road

A busy road was partially shut while emergency services responded to a crash involving two vehicles.

Police, paramedics, and firefighters scrambled to Lowfield Street, Dartford, at the junction with Oakfield Lane and Hawley Road, at around 1pm.

Pictures taken at the scene show a car and a low loader involved in a collision, opposite the shop parade. A road sign has also been damaged.

One woman who works in the area, who did not wish to be named, told KentOnline: “There was one fire engine, two ambulances, and a couple of police cars.”

She added the road was partially shut while recovery work took place, but cars are now able to pass through.

Police have confirmed no serious injuries were reported.
