Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) is bringing its next-generation Blackwell GPUs to the cloud. The chipmaker said Monday that its GeForce Now service will soon run on RTX 5080-class hardware, enabling features like DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation and cloud streaming at up to 5K resolution.
The upgrade extends Nvidia’s lead in cloud gaming, giving players access to more than 4,500 titles, including AAA releases, without needing a high-end PC at home.
Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s CEO, called it the biggest leap in cloud gaming ever, saying Blackwell chips would deliver faster frame rates, negligible latency, and visuals that rival top-tier local rigs.
The expansion underscores how Nvidia’s dominance now stretches beyond data centers and AI into gaming infrastructure. Shares rose 1% in late trading on the news, reflecting investor optimism that cloud gaming could become a bigger revenue stream for the $4.5 trillion chip giant.
