Fire crews have been battling a large blaze at a derelict office block near a town’s harbour.
Firefighters have been at the scene in Tram Road, Folkestone, since 4.43am today.
Residents are being advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke.
The building, Stoneleigh House, is just a stone’s throw from the town’s busy harbour.
It used to house the offices of Lütken-Simmonds Consultancy among other businesses, but has sat abandoned for many years.

A fire service spokesman said: “Crews are advising people living, working or travelling near the Folkestone Harbour area to please close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a derelict building fire in Tram Road.
“Three fire engines and a height vehicle are currently in attendance, and crews are using main jets to contain the fire and extinguish the flames.”
More as we have it.
