Why we liked this gaming PC

Ryzen 7 9800X3D

This is the world’s best gaming processor, and what makes it even better is that the design changes allow it to deliver great productivity and overclock it for better performance. So, X3D processors are no longer meant for gaming only, as this CPU can do it. When we tested this processor for our 9800X3D review, we gave it a 5/5 rating due to how thoroughly impressed we were.

This CPU easily managed 334 and 604 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 and CS2 running at 1080p low settings, respectively. However, what was surprising was that it was competing with the 9700X in non-gaming benchmarks. For example, in Blender Monster, it managed 146.78 points while the 9700X could only deliver 116.35 points.

In the Cinebench R23 multi-core test, the 9800X3D churned out 22,568 points normally and 22,815 points with Precision Boost Overdrive enabled. The Ryzen 7 9700X delivered 22,475 points in the same test, and that should give you an idea of the potential of the 9800X3D.

RTX 5080

The RTX 5080 is the second strongest GPU in the RTX 50-series lineup, and it has 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM and excellent productivity and gaming performance. We’ve reviewed two RTX 5080s, the Founder Edition and the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC. The latter had slightly better performance since it was overclocked, but you can overclock the RTX 5080 that is part of this gaming PC as well.

These GPUs managed 72 and 75 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at ultra settings, respectively, and 84 and 80 FPS in F1 24, respectively. So, there isn’t a whole lot of difference, and the same neck-and-neck competition was also seen in synthetic testing that involved software like Geekbench AI, 3DMark, and more.

Other hardware

This gaming PC has 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6,000 MHz, which should be fast enough to handle various instances of resource-intensive applications. On the other hand, it sports a 2TB NVMe SSD, which has enough space for multiple games and applications. To ensure that the processor doesn’t overheat, there is a 360mm AIO cooler installed, while the 850W gold-rated ATX 3 PSU should ensure that every component gets the right amount of power without any issues.

Is this gaming PC worth it?

In 2025, this combination of components is one of the best to have as both the CPU and GPU have exceptional performance in gaming and non-gaming related tasks, and the supporting hardware, such as the board, RAM, storage, and PSU, are all of great quality as well.

So, it should give you any trouble now and in the foreseeable future. That being said, a $2,769.99 price tag is still a good amount of money but if you don’t compromise on quality and performance, then we highly recommend you seriously consider this gaming PC.
