The iGaming supplier said it took immediate steps to mitigate any potential impact, including by retaining independent cybersecurity experts to help deal with the matter in line with industry best practices.

Based on preliminary investigations, Bragg claimed the data breach was limited to its internal computer environment.

In a statement, the company said: “At the present time, there is no indication that any personal information was affected. Additionally, the breach has had no impact on the ability of the company to continue its operations, nor has it been restricted from accessing any data that has been subject to the breach.”

“Bragg is committed to data safety, is taking the matter very seriously and asks its customers and partners for their patience as it seeks to remediate the situation.

The business said it will share updates about the incident on its website as soon as any further developments take place.

The incident marks just the latest cyberattack to impact the gaming supplier space.

Last November, major providers Ainsworth Game Technology and IGT both reported they had had their systems breached by hackers.

In the end, neither incident significantly impacted the businesses’ revenue and EBITDA projections.

However, the most infamous cybersecurity incident in recent years was the autumn 2023 attack at MGM Resorts.

This incident, which resulted in widespread impacts on various casino systems, was followed by a $100m EBITDA hit and several lawsuits.

Hacker groups ALPHV and Scattered Spider later claimed responsibility for the breach, with the leader later arrested in Spain in a joint operation involving the FBI.
