Not many bands have managed to change the course of British music with just one album, but punk band the Sex Pistols made quite the impact back in the day.
The group, which shook up the industry in the 1970s, are reuniting for a string of gigs this summer, but there have been a few changes over the decades.

Frank Carter, known for fronting Gallows and his own project, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, will join the band on tour, taking the place of former lead singer Johnny Rotten.
The group are coming to Margate’s Dreamland as part of the venue’s Summer Series.
The open-air concert series sees a line-up of big-name artists perform on the fairground’s Scenic Stage until this September.

Along with guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock, Johnny Rotten, also known as John Lydon, formed the Sex Pistols in 1975.
The following year, they released their debut single, Anarchy in the UK, and infamous punk rocker Sid Vicious joined the band under the management of promoter and fashion designer Malcolm McLaren.
The group became one of the biggest bands of the decade, making front-page news with their controversial television appearances and their only studio album, before disbanding in 1978.
Bassist Sid Vicious, who spent some of his childhood living in Tunbridge Wells, died in 1979 at the age of 21 and John Lydon went onto form post-punk band Public Image Ltd.

The three original band members and singer Frank Carter are performing the Sex Pistols’ studio album in full across the country this year, including a huge set at Download Festival earlier this summer.
The band will be supported at their Margate gig by The Stranglers and The Buzzcocks.
The Sex Pistols will be at Dreamland on Saturday, August 23. You can book tickets online here.
You can find a full list of the venue’s upcoming gigs on the Dreamland website.
