A top coffee chain is set to open inside a supermarket.
Costa Coffee will be replacing the current cafe at Asda Gillingham Pier Superstore in Pier Road.
The Asda cafe will be shutting tomorrow, (Sunday, August 17) – but it is not yet known when the new coffee shop will be opening.
A spokesperson for the supermarket chain said: “Our cafés are an important part of the shopping experience for many of our customers.
“Whilst many of our competitors are closing their cafés, we remain committed to providing café options for our customers and already work successfully with Costa Coffee, so we’re confident they can deliver a fantastic experience for our customers.”
