GTA 6 Xbox Series S Performance Has Gamers Optimistic

Grand Theft Auto VI fans are certain that Rockstar Games are going to bring the heat with the Xbox Series S version of the game, and they have a pretty convincing argument as to why.

I don’t think it’s particularly controversial to say that the Xbox Series S is the weakest current generation console of this generation.

Well, ok, it might be a little controversial considering the Nintendo Switch 2 exists, but the point is that it was designed to be a budget option for gamers.

Video games and consoles just keep ballooning in price, so I don’t think it’s a bad thing– but some folks do… at least, when it comes to Grand Theft Auto VI, that is.

There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past year as to whether or not the Xbox Series S will be able to handle the game, but it seems that a large majority of the fanbase isn’t too worried.

Why? Because, according to folks over on the r/XboxSeriesS subreddit, they have faith in Rockstar Games’ track record.

“Bro, rockstar literally confirmed the series s version”, commented user TheGirafeMan.

“And they rarely dissapoint, I highly doubt that rockstar would release a sh**ty version of a game that needs to do great.”

“Precisely series s is nothing special but f**king xbox one ran rdr2”, replied user External_History3184.

“Rockstars know how to optimise and average gamer wont notice these optimisations in the visual fidelity or gameplay anyway.”

Honestly, I think the point about Red Dead Redemption II is very fair.

The fact that they got a game like that to even run, let alone at a stable framerate, on the likes of both the PS4 and the Xbox One, proves that Rockstar Games clearly employees a wizard or two.

If the devs think the Xbox Series S can handle GTA VI, I’m inclined to believe them… but at the same time, let’s be real; the real GTA VI is going to come out on next-gen systems and PC. This generation is just an opportunity to sell you the game twice, as far as the publishers are concerned.
