Get Hyped With the New ‘Resident Evil Survival Unit’ Cinematic Promo Video [Watch]

Coming off of its successful pre-resgistration, Aniplex and JOYCITY Corporation have released a new cinematic promotional video for their upcoming RTS Resident Evil Survival Unit. Produced by Quebico, the studio behind 2023’s Resident Evil: Death Island, the trailer “showcases the game’s strategic depth and fast-paced gameplay through high-end visuals and dynamic direction,” featuring several of the series’ iconic characters.

The trailer also features the theme song “Mountain Hunt” by Japanese rock band QUEEN BEE. With its hauntingly beautiful vocals, and a sound that blends urgency with mystique, the track aims to “[portray] the tension between hunter and hunted”.

Featuring a new storyline that diverges from the series’ Survival Horror origins, Resident Evil Survival Unit sees players awaken in a mysterious hospital, a test subject of the latest experiments by the Umbrella Corporation. As you uncover the truth and attempt to escape, the story unfolds into a parallel world where you meet up with familiar faces from the main series. Those faces include Resident Evil mainstays Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and more.
