After the widespread login problem with Epic game servers, which left Fortnite players locked out of the battle royale, was restored on August 15, 2025 (Friday), the company announced the date and time of its next scheduled maintenance on its official website. “Epic Online Services is scheduled for maintenance on Monday, 18 August, at 6 am UTC,” the video game company said on its website.

“During this maintenance window, there will be 30 minutes of degraded availability for the following services:- Lobbies – Sessions – Achievements.” We expect (our built-in) retry functionality to limit the impact of this disruption, but achievement unlock notifications and session/lobby invites may fail,” it further stated.

The latest development came after the company announced that the log-in outage, which occurred on August 14, 2025 (Thursday), was resolved, after which all Fortnite players were again able to log in across all platforms. Epic Games also said that it will continue monitoring its services to ensure there are no other issues.

“We’re seeing players able to log back in now for most platforms, with the exception of PlayStation, and are working restore server health to normal for everyone across all platforms to log in and matchmake as normal again. We’ll continue updating you as we bring everything back online,” Epic Games said on its website.
