NBA and WNBA Players Take the Court Together for the First Time in NBA 2K26 MyTEAM – The Arts Shelf

2K has announced the new features and improvements coming to NBA 2K26 MyTEAM. The game will see the addition of WNBA Player Cards for the first time in franchise history.

For the first time, players can collect, customise, and compete with both NBA and WNBA athletes on the same team. This historic addition allows fans to create dream rosters that mix stars from both leagues, offering limitless combinations and strategies.

Alongside the WNBA integration, NBA 2K26 MyTEAM introduces multiple new game modes, card types, and environments. These changes aim to make gameplay deeper, faster, and more rewarding.

WNBA Player Cards Arrive in MyTEAM

This update fully integrates WNBA Player Cards into every MyTEAM mode. Players can now run line-ups featuring legends and current stars from both leagues. See Paige Bueckers teaming up with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, or Sheryl Swoopes throwing an alley-oop to Shaquille O’Neal.

Gameplay remains balanced, as attributes and badges work identically for NBA and WNBA cards. A dedicated WNBA Domination tier, authentic uniforms, and court floors with NBA three-point lines complete the integration. To capture the moment, new commentary from Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, and Stan Van Gundy has been added.

Game Changer Cards Bring More Control

A new Game Changer Card type gives players more control over their MyTEAM sessions. These cards activate unique power-ups such as point multipliers, streak recovery in Showdown, reduced difficulty in Domination, or instant card evolution.

Triple Threat Park Returns With a Night-Time Glow

Sunset Beach from NBA 2K15 returns in NBA 2K26 as Triple Threat Park for Gen 9 consoles. The court now comes alive at night with neon lights and tropical vibes. Players can compete in 3v3 and 2v2 matches, with streak rewards, seasonal wins, and new Streak Buster Rewards for ending an opponent’s run.

King of the Court Raises the Stakes

Starting September 12, 2025, King of the Court challenges PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players every weekend until August 2, 2026. The top finisher each week wins a $10,000 USD grand prize.

Breakout: Gauntlet Tests Your Entire Collection

Breakout: Gauntlet pushes players to use every card in their collection strategically. Each run grows more difficult, with cards only usable once per session. Longer runs bring greater rewards, including a regularly updated final prize.

All-Star Team-Up Adds 5v5 Co-Op Action

Gen 9 players can enjoy All-Star Team-Up, a co-op 5v5 mode with 6-minute halves. Teams who win five games in one session earn bonus rewards and Season Ladder progress.

MyTEAM Arena Showcases Your Achievements

The new MyTEAM Arena serves as a hub where players can admire their trophies, banners, and murals. This location celebrates progress across all modes.

Additional MyTEAM Upgrades

Other upgrades include Single Player Salary Cap, coach development, victory card exchanges, enhanced MyTEAM REP rewards, a G.O.A.T. Hoodie Melo prize for reaching Dark Matter REP, more Showdown and Domination rewards, a redesigned Player Card View, and more.
