Phoenix area could be on track to see rise in heat deaths this year

Despite more money and more programs to prevent heat-related deaths, the Phoenix area could see an increase in heat deaths this year. Maricopa County health officials said more than 300 heat-related deaths are under investigation, which is more than this time last year. The extreme heat isn’t always what directly kills a person but it can contribute to it. Steven Sarabia has the numbers.
