He doesn’t have the official certificate yet, but Okan Kaya, a 28-year-old man living in Sydney, Australia, is convinced that he has broken the Guinness World Record after completing a marathon of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. He played for a total of 135 hours and 50 minutes, which translates into an almost uninterrupted session lasting five and a half days.
Kaya has broken the previous record of 120 hours and 7 minutes, set by two Canadians playing Resistance, the Insomniac Games series. According to Polygon, Guinness rules allow for 10-minute breaks every hour, although unused break time can be accumulated. This means that Kaya was able to get some sleep.

Preparing the documentation for Guinness
The Australian pointed out that his record is not yet official, as he is preparing the documents to send to the organization. “I definitely smashed it,” he told the AP. Now it remains to be seen whether Guinness will recognize his achievement. What is clear is that Kaya is currently among the 29 best players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 was released in November 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U. This year’s installment of Call of Duty is Black Ops 7, which does not yet have a confirmed release date.
