An electric vehicle firm will take over two Peugeot dealerships that closed earlier this year.
BYD will be moving into the sites in Broad Oak Road, Canterbury, and in Crowbridge Road, South Willesborough, on the edge of the Orbital Park in Ashford.

Marshall Motor Group shut the garages at the end of March after its retailer contracts with Peugeot’s owner, Stellantis UK, were ended by mutual agreement, leaving staff stunned.
The empty sites are now to return to Marshall’s ownership, with franchisee BYD set to open there in September.
The company – which stands for ‘Build Your Dreams’ – was founded in Shenzhen, China, in 1995 and is now a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles.
The Ashford and Canterbury sites will join BYD’s existing Kent dealerships in Maidstone and Tonbridge, bringing its total number to six in the UK.
Gary Savage, CEO of Constellational Retail Group, which owns Marshall, said: “These additional stores reinforce the group’s ambition to develop a balanced portfolio of brands with an innovative and diverse offering for future mobility.

“Our enhanced geographical presence creates a network of locations in close proximity, reinforcing our commitment to providing greater convenience and delivering exceptional, consistent customer experiences.”
Mechanic roles are already being advertised on jobs website, Indeed, ahead of its opening.
