Sony has announced it is now taking applicants for the fourth phase of the ‘China Hero Project,’ which serves to provide funding and resources for Chinese developers creating video games for PlayStation.
Games that have been part of the ‘China Hero Project’ include Lost Soul Aside, which was part of phase one and is releasing at the end of this month, F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch, Anno: Mutationem, and others.
Daniel Ahmad covered the press conference, which happened in Shanghai on July 3,1 and shared the news on X in a thread and said:
“The 4th phase builds on the previous 3 phases, which offered standard assistance in game development, publishing, & marketing via partners. Virtuos has been added as a partner for co-dev, RichTap for advanced haptic feedback integration, and PlayStation Studios Visual Arts for UI/UX design evaluation.”
Phase three games, Daba: Land of Water Scar and EXILEDGE, will all be receiving additional funding from Sony to continue their development. Trailers for all three of those games below, if you haven’t seen them beofore now.
