What Tottenham are likely to do with Heung-min Son’s iconic number seven shirt

Reports have now revealed what Tottenham are looking to do with Heung-min Son’s iconic number seven shirt at Tottenham Hotspur.

It has been an emotional few days for all those associated with Tottenham Hotspur, as the past few days have been centred around one man, Heung-min Son.

The Tottenham captain announced last week in a press conference that he would be departing Spurs this summer, after spending a decade at N17.

The club legend would be doing so on a high, after he ended Tottenham’s 17-year wait for silverware last season, winning the Europa League.

Tottenham to decide on Heung-min Son’s shirt number replacement

With Son edging closer to a move to LA FC in the MLS, GIVEMESPORT are now reporting that Tottenham Hotspur have a decision to make regarding the number seven shirt at the club.

It is understood that there is a possibility that the number seven is left vacant for the 25/26 season until Spurs find a replacement for Heung-min Son.

Son’s departure this summer is said to be no surprise to the club, who are understood to have agreed with the club captain last season that he could depart if the right move came along.

Spurs enter new chapter as Son departs

Son now leaves as a Tottenham legend after remaining loyal to the north London club through all the ups and downs, despite other top clubs showing interest in the Korean international.

Tottenham’s focus thus far in the summer market has been on securing a number ten, and with Son now departing, it remains to be seen if they will turn their attention to a winger.

Spurs still have one more pre-season match before their new season kicks off with a clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup. With Son on the brink of leaving Tottenham, it will definitely feel like a new era on the pitch under Thomas Frank this season.
