Rush hour delays after train breaks down near depot

Passengers are facing rush-hour rail delays due to a broken-down train at a depot.

Disruption on the service between Dartford and Woolwich Arsenal or Barnehurst is expected until 9am.

Trains are being cancelled or delayed by up to 25 minutes due to a train which had broken down leaving the Slade Green depot and blocking the line earlier this morning.

It has since been moved, and all lines have reopened.

Services had been unable to run between Slade Green and Barnehurst towards Dartford, with routes diverted through Sidcup.

Southeastern says trains may still be delayed or altered on journeys via Sidcup, Bexleyheath and Woolwich while it works to return services to normal.
