PEAK has quickly become one of 2025’s biggest indie hits, selling over 5 million copies within its first month. What comes with popularity? Attempts to copy the hut, obviously. One of these attempts is Cliff, a Roblox-based imitation that includes microtransactions.

The developers at Aggro Crab and Landfall, the studios behind Peak, publicly responded to the clone by discouraging players from supporting it, saying: “We would rather you pirate our game than play this microtransaction-riddled Roblox slop ripoff.”
In replies to fans, the Peak devs also confirmed their intentions to bring the game to consoles, though it’s unclear whether porting is currently underway or just planned.
Earlier in July, Peak surpassed the 5 million units sold milestone, just less than a month after its launch. Previously, the developer of the climbing sim discussed the “friendslop” genre and shared how the game’s initial idea appeared.
