Ryzen 7 7800X3D

We’ve tested and reviewed the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and while it might not have the title of the best gaming processor anymore, it is still capable of pushing serious gaming workflows paired with any of the modern GPUs. We gauge its performance by pairing it with the RTX 4070 Ti Super and running a handful of benchmarking applications.

In the Cinebench R23 single- and multi-core tests, this pairing managed 1,665 and 17,581 points, respectively. The single-core output is generally used as an indication of its gaming output, while the multi-core output showcases the multitasking potential. So, this CPU managed excellent numbers in both domains, but its gaming output is much better than its productivity in real-world scenarios.

RTX 5080

Thermaltake hasn’t made clear which RTX 5080 will be included in this gaming PC, but the output shouldn’t be too different from the ones that we’ve reviewed, which are the RTX 5080 FE and the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC. To showcase what this card is capable of, we’ll use the findings of the RTX 5080 FE since it isn’t overclocked and should serve as a good base for comparison against other cards.

This graphics card, paired with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, easily managed 72 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K. In other titles like Doom Eternal and F1 24, we got 265 and 84 FPS, respectively. So, this GPU can effortlessly churn out high FPS at native 4K, but turning on DLSS 4 and MFG can greatly increase its output.

Other hardware

Besides the processor and graphics card, this gaming PC comes with Windows 11 pre-installed, WiFi, 32GB DDR5 RAM running at 5,600 MT/s, and a storage capacity of 1TB. So, what this means is that you should have enough space for games and other applications, but adding another SSD is recommended. Besides that, the RAM should provide good efficiency and performance regardless of the task at hand.
