The mood around Tottenham has shifted since Thomas Frank took charge, and behind the scenes, there is already a growing sense of admiration for the Dane’s early work.
Thomas Frank is still settling into life at Tottenham Hotspur, having only been in the job for under three months.
Pre-season preparations remain the main focus for the former Brentford boss, and his Tottenham side has already shown clear differences in style and approach compared to what was seen under Ange Postecoglou.
So far, Frank’s team has struck a more balanced tone in its play, giving proper attention to both attacking transitions and defensive structure. It is no surprise then that the clean sheets are starting to stack up, with three already in the bag during pre-season.
Tottenham staff full of praise for Thomas Frank
The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke, has now shared insight on Last Word On Spurs about the early impressions Frank has made at the club.
The journalist highlighted the overwhelmingly positive feedback he has received about Thomas Frank from those inside the club, noting that the Dane has quickly made an impression with his intelligence, communication skills, and leadership.
He told Last Word On Spurs: “Frank is a really, really impressive person, and again, like Vinai (Venkatesham), everyone I speak to is full of praise for him.
“I know it is kind of a honeymoon period, like everyone is popular in their first month in a job, but people are really, really positive about this guy.
“He is so smart, he is so switched on, he is a brilliant communicator, he is brilliant with players, he is really fantastic at setting the right culture, really good at improving individual players.
“I think he will be really, really good for all those reasons.”
Spurs fans warming to Frank after Arsenal result
The early signs of Thomas Frank’s reign are very positive, and the manager certainly got himself into the good books of Tottenham fans after masterminding a 1-0 win against bitter rivals Arsenal in his last pre-season clash.
If Frank continues to pick up results like that, he is sure to become a very popular man amongst the club’s supporters, who are desperate to see consistent success on the pitch.
Tottenham still require reinforcement in terms of personnel ahead of the new season. It does appear that the Spurs boss and Daniel Levy are in sync on that front too, with Thomas Frank said to be a big fan of new signing Joao Palhinha.
More additions will likely be needed, and with the transfer window still open, it will be interesting to see what further business Tottenham get done in the weeks ahead.
