During THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025, the publisher showcased numerous titles, including Titan Quest II, Darksiders 4, and a new SpongeBob game, but one title looked particularly exciting. The event featured the first trailer of Fatekeeper from developer Paraglacial – a first-person role-playing game that should launch in Steam Early Access in winter 2025.
The game, which will quickly remind you of titles like Skyrim and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, offers the opportunity to explore a meticulously crafted world featuring ancient battlefields, vast underground caverns, quiet forests, and abandoned shrines.

One of the coolest things here is the combat system, which is based on fast and precise control of melee weapons and magic. Enemies have diverse behaviors and weaknesses, so players have to mix different abilities in battle to win and get more experience points.

The game will have a flexible character progression system, allowing you to enhance combat skills, attributes, and various branches of magic, creating unique combinations (we’ve seen it somewhere, right?)

No details about the story of Fatekeeper have been shared yet, but it appears the main hero will be the chosen one. Answering one of the questions on Steam, a developer from Paraglacial confirmed that the game is being developed with Unreal Engine 5.

“Yes. Its Unreal 5. We started development back in 2021 when Unreal 5 was still very very early days and we plan to utilize it fully to bring the best possible graphics on screen,” shared the developer.Â
