There’s a cracking limited-time deal on Amazon right now that’s well worth considering if you’re looking for a gaming PC that can handle 1440p very well, and perform well at 4K. Right now, this Skytech Gaming King 95 prebuilt PC, with an RX 9070XT 16GB and Ryzen 7 7800X3D, is going for $220 off, and is now available for $1,879.99.

That’s a decent price that puts it close to some RTX 5070 Ti models we come across, and we’d say this would be a strong alternative for anyone looking for something powerful, but not too pricey.

What we like about the Skytech Gaming King 95 desktop PC

While we haven’t reviewed the RX 9070XT, we have reviewed an ASUS overclocked version, which we found gave us RTX 4080 levels of performance in most cases. The RX 9070XT is a good card for 1440p and can achieve 100+ fps in most titles, especially when combined with FSR. For 4K, it’s slightly more of a mixed bag depending on the game, based on the reviews we’ve seen for the card. In some cases, it outperforms the RTX 5070Ti, and in others, it trails. That being said, it’s still a capable card for 4K without the massive price tag of an RTX 5080 or 5090.

In terms of CPU, you’ve got the former king of gaming processors, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. This is still a popular choice for AM5 builds that’s ideal for pairing GPUs capable of 1440p at higher fps. Its 3D v-cache allows for drastically reduced frame latency and faster data access speeds, and it features a very high boost clock speed. For multitasking, you’ll want to go for something else, but it’ll still be capable if you happen to dabble in video editing, rendering, or other CPU-intensive tasks.

• Starter storage: A Gen 4 1TB SSD is decent and can hold around 10 AAA games for reference, but you may want to upgrade to something higher capacity in the future.
• Eye-catching design: ARGB cooling and a glass-panelled PC case are great for taking your setup to the next level.

Coming in at $1,879.99, as far as 1440p/4K gaming PCs go, this is a good value-for-money pick that also saves you building it from scratch. It’s not an overkill model where you’re paying for hardware you don’t need, such as super high-speed RAM or a massive Gen5 SSD, either.

If you are going for this PC, we’d recommend checking out the sales for a decent 4K QD-OLED monitor; however, if you don’t want to throw down the big bucks for one, you can find loads of QHD QD-OLED options that boast very high refresh rates that will pair well with this gaming PC.
