The next game in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 6, has attracted all sorts of attention from shooter fans, with excitement reaching a fever pitch following its full announcement last month.
Ahead of the game’s release in October, EA will be holding a beta for Battlefield 6, letting players test out an early version of some of the game’s modes — which is a good thing for players, after the very mixed response to the last game, Battlefield 2042.

We’ve got all the details about the Battlefield 6 beta below, including when the Battlefield 6 beta starts, as well as the Battlefield 6 beta preload details and all of the system requirements.
When Does the Battlefield 6 Beta Start?
The Battlefield 6 beta will start at 4:00am EDT on August 7, 2025.
The beta is available to two groups of people — early access users, which is anyone who preordered the Phantom Edition of the game and EA Play Pro subscribers, and standard users, who’ll get access two days later on August 9 at the same time listed above.
Here’s when early access starts for the Battlefield 6 beta in each time zone:
- PDT – 1:00am
- EDT – 4:00am
- BRT – 5:00am
- BST – 9:00am
- CEST – 10:00am
- IST – 1:30pm
- CST – 4:00pm
- KST/JST – 5:00pm
- AEST – 6:00pm
- NZST – 8:00pm
The first round of the beta will run until August 11, while a second round will start on August 14 at the same times listed above and run until August 17.
When Can I Preload the Battlefield 6 Beta?
The Battlefield 6 beta is available to download right now on all platforms.
Players can preload the Battlefield 6 beta client on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S right now, no matter if they’re early access members or standard members. Preloading the beta will allow you to access the game as soon as the beta is live, rather than having to wait after the servers go live to download the game, cutting into precious gaming time.
The Battlefield 6 beta requires a PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or a sufficiently powerful PC to run.
For PC, you’ll need a reasonably modern CPU and GPU – at least from the last five years or so – to run it at 1080p or above, while it’s recommended to have a much more recent and more powerful system to get the most out of it.
Here’s the full system requirements for PC:
