THQ Nordic recently had their annual showcase, revealing new trailer for several of their upcoming titles. Among them was the follow-up to last year’s reveal of Tarsier Studios’ REANIMAL, and in a “one more thing” moment, the official announcement of Darksiders 4.
Described as a haunting co-op horror adventure (though you can play solo) in the vein of Tarsier Studios’ previous effort in Little Nightmares, REANIMAL follows a brother and sister on a desperate journey to rescue their missing friends. Set on a nightmarish island filled with twisted creatures and eerie secrets, players must work together, by boat and on foot, to survive the darkness and uncover the truth. Mixing an unsettling atmosphere with emotional storytelling, REANIMAL explores childhood trauma through a stylized world filled with dread.
Along with the new gameplay trailer, THQ Nordic also revealed the REANIMAL Collector’s Edition, which can be pre-ordered now. Along with a physical copy of the game for consoles, the Collector’s Edition includes:
- Exclusive Collector’s Box
- Season Pass and Pre-Order DLC
- Map poster
- Artbook
- Stickers
- Keychain
- Two PVC figures
REANIMAL will launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2.
Also announced (after last year’s tease) was Darksiders 4 from Gunfire Games, complete with a new trailer. Details are still to come, but the game is set in an apocalyptic version of earth, and picks up after the original Darksiders. You’ll be able to play as one of the Four Horsemen, each with their own unique weapons and combat styles. The combat is described as cinematic, fast-paced, visceral action that blends melee, fluid traversal, and supernatural abilities. Darksiders 4 is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.
