The eight players that could leave Chelsea before transfer window closes

Chelsea look set to sanction a number of departures before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Blues have been active in the market once again with the notable signings of forwards Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

talkSPORT understands Chelsea have agreed to sign Jorrel Hato from Ajax, and are still hoping to welcome Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig.

However, whilst Enzo Maresca’s side have spent north of £150million, they have also recouped around £132m in sales.

Noni Madueke, Joao Felix and Djordje Petrovic are just three of the names to have left, but there could be plenty more exits to come.

Marc Guiu

Spanish striker Guiu is set to formalise his loan switch to Sunderland within the next 24 hours.

The 19-year-old joined from Barcelona for around £5m last summer and scored six goals in 16 appearances during his debut season.

Guiu is now set for regular minutes with Sunderland, who are back in the Premier League after their Championship play-off final win.

Armando Broja

Broja is on course to complete a permanent move to Burnley.

The Albanian striker will sign a five-year deal at Turf Moor having spent 16 years at Chelsea.

He has scored three goals in 38 outings for the Blues but made just 11 starts in west London.

Loan spells with Vitesse Arnhem, Southampton, Fulham and Everton have not been enough to help Broja become a regular at Chelsea.

Alfie Gilchrist

Another academy player facing a summer exit is defender Gilchrist.

He spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Sheffield United, featuring 32 times for the Blades.

A departure could be possible in the coming weeks with a number of Championship sides showing an interest in Gilchrist.

Raheem Sterling

Former Manchester City and Liverpool winger Sterling is expected to be sold in the summer window.

talkSPORT reported last month that Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are keen to sign the 30-year-old, who missed the Club World Cup.

Sterling was the first statement signing at Chelsea after the takeover by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

He has totalled 19 goals and 15 assists for the Blues but endured a disappointing loan spell with London rivals Arsenal last term.

Axel Disasi

French defender Disasi has been made available for sale by Chelsea.

The centre-back joined from Monaco in 2023 and featured regularly under Mauricio Pochettino in his first season.

But appearances have become limited during Maresca’s tenure so far, with Disasi spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. LaLiga club Villarreal have made an approach for him.

Ben Chilwell

After signing from Leicester City in 2020, Chilwell enjoyed a dream start to life at Chelsea by winning the Champions League.

However, a ruptured cruciate ligament injury months after they beat City led to a decline in form for the left-back.

Chilwell hasn’t played for Chelsea since their 5-0 thrashing of Barrow in the Carabao Cup third round in September.

The 28-year-old then spent the second half of the season on loan at Crystal Palace, where he made 11 appearances.

Renato Veiga

Veiga looked set to join Atletico Madrid this summer but saw a move to Spain fall through.

Just months after moving from FC Basel, the Portuguese defender chose to leave Chelsea and sign for Juventus on loan.

And now he could leave Stamford Bridge permanently amid the incoming arrival of fellow left-back Hato.

Interest in Veiga, who has played 18 times for Chelsea, has come from Saudi Arabia.

Christopher Nkunku

After Pedro’s move from Brighton, Nkunku is expected to leave the Blues before the end of the window.

Bayern Munich have had the Frenchman on their radar, with Chelsea previously valuing him at around £60m.

Nkunku joined the club in June 2023 but had to wait until December to make his competitive debut due to a knee injury.

He has scored 18 times over two seasons, with five coming in their Conference League title run in the 2024/25 campaign.
