A reportedly serious crash has shut a major route.
The A299 Thanet Way is closed eastbound between the junction with the A291 and Margate Road in Herne Bay.
Traffic information site Inrix says it is due to a serious accident.
It adds that queues are building in the area.
One motorist said on social media that traffic was at a standstill and urged other drivers to avoid the area.
Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
