Person flown to hospital after air ambulance called to crash

The air ambulance has been called to a crash in a village.

Cars are reportedly being turned around on the B2080 in Appledore, near Ashford, this morning.

The emergency helicopter landed nearby shortly before 10am.

It has since taken off and has now landed at King’s College Hospital in London, according to tracking app Flightradar.

Witnesses on social media say cars are being directed away from the area.

Emergency services have been contacted for further details.
