Tottenham close to reaching agreement on Heung-min Son sale
It has now been revealed by GiveMeSport that LAFC are in ‘advanced talks’ with Spurs over a deal for Heung-min Son.
The two clubs are expected to agree on a fee of around £15m for Son, who is keen to join the Major League Soccer side.
The report claims that Tottenham were originally demanding £30m from Saudi Pro League clubs for their captain, but they have dropped their asking price to facilitate the forward’s move to California.
The report adds that agreement on personal terms between Son and LAFC is ‘almost in place’ after the player told the club that he wants to join.
Son’s move to LAFC could be completed in days
GiveMeSport say that the MLS side have now set out a delegation in South Korea to hammer out an agreement, given that Son and Tottenham Hotspur are currently in the Asian country for pre-season.
The report claims that a deal could be concluded quickly following Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against Newcastle in Seoul this afternoon.
Son is set to become one of the best-paid players in MLS, and LA’s thriving South Korean community is one of the reasons why the forward is keen to join the club.
