Tottenham Hotspur are plotting an audacious move for one of Serie A’s most dangerous attackers, and Fabio Paratici may be a secret weapon.
In his press conference earlier this week, Thomas Frank hinted that Tottenham are in the market for a wide forward who can make runs in behind the opposition backline and is good in one-v-one situations.
That is perhaps down to the fact that Spurs are set to lose Heung-min Son, who is edging closer to a move to Los Angeles FC.
It has now emerged that Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to a Portuguese star, who had 25 goal contributions to his name last season.
Tottenham could use Fabio Paratici to land AC Milan star
This update comes from journalist Ben Jacobs, who has revealed that Tottenham hold a ‘genuine interest’ in AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao.
The journalist revealed that while it would be difficult to get Leao out of the San Siro, Paratici may have the best chance of doing so, given his relationship with the Rossoneri and with the 26-year-old’s representatives.
Jacobs said on We Are Tottenham TV: “They’re going to have to determine, is it Leao? The interest there is genuine, but it’s always been difficult to get Leao away from Milan.
“Paratici would be parachuted in to be involved in that deal because he has an excellent relationship and, to my knowledge, the player’s side too.
“So the glimmer of hope with Leao is that Milan need to bring in some finances, they don’t have any European football, and if they were heading into this season with Champions League football, then the door on a Leao exit would’ve been entirely shut.”
Spurs considering club-record move for Brazilian superstar
Leao is not the only big-name forward being linked with a move to N17, with reports over recent days claiming that Tottenham are plotting an audacious move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo.
According to some sources, Spurs have not been put off by Real Madrid’s asking price of €90m (£76m) for Rodrygo.
It was even claimed by TBR Football two days ago that Rodrygo has expressed a willingness to move to Tottenham if the North London club can agree a fee with Madrid.
