In his own words, “I came as a boy and leave as a young man” – and no one could argue with that, as Son has come on in leaps and bounds since pulling on a Tottenham shirt aged 23, scoring memorable goals and ending the club’s 17-year wait for a trophy just last season after winning the Europa League.

Tottenham fans react to Heung-min Son exit announcement
It is a painful moment for many fans, who have now taken to X to send messages to their very own club legend.
One fan said: “Build the statue.” Another commented: “Club legend. One of the best Tottenham and Premier League players of all time. What a guy! 💙”
A third simply stated: “Legend.” A fourth Tottenham fan added: “Heung-min Son, you are an absolute legend of the game and of the Premier League. Son’s announcement came before his hometown supporters in a press conference alongside Thomas Frank in South Korea.
The Tottenham captain also revealed that he has been forced to hide his sadness, as he did not want it to affect the dressing room or unsettle the rest of the players.
LAFC are currently reported to be closing in on sealing a move for Heung-min Son, who could very well be playing his final game for Tottenham in their friendly clash against Newcastle in South Korea.
