A man suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a London hospital after an incident at a bridge.
The A249 Sheppey Crossing, between Sheppey and Sittingbourne, was shut while emergency services were on the scene, but has since reopened.

Eyewitnesses have described seeing the emergency helicopter at the scene, with traffic being held in the area.
Police were called after concerns for a man.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “We received a report at 9.58am of concern for a person seen near the carriageway of the A249 near Iwade.
“Officers attended the southbound lane where a man had sustained serious injuries.
“He has been taken to a London hospital.

“The road, which was closed while emergency services were in attendance, has since reopened.”
Long delays were seen on the busy route, but these are now clearing.
