A Kent town has been named as one of the best places in Britain to retire.
Sevenoaks is the only place in the county to make it into Legal & General’s top 20 list.

The rating takes into account leisure and shopping amenities, levels of health and healthcare, how social and community-spirited residents are, and access to green spaces and nature.
It also considers local income levels and housing and living costs.
The top-ranked constituency in Britain was Chesham and Amersham in Buckinghamshire, followed by Beaconsfield, Dorking and Horley, Godalming and Ash, and the Mid-Sussex area at number five.
Sevenoaks was rated as the 12th best overall and received an index score of 68. The full list can be found here.
In the housing category, which considers the percentage of all housing in the area that is senior housing, and the availability of senior housing, it was given a score 55.

In the health category, which takes into account the percentage of over 65s in good and bad health, access to GPs and dentists, and NHS waiting times, it was given a 78.
For the social and community category, which considers the proportion of residents aged 65 and over, life satisfaction levels, reported levels of happiness, and distance to the nearest station, it received a 77.
It then received a 72 for both its financial attributes and nature aspects, and a 44 for its amenities.
The index ranked 632 constituencies in total.
