Ghost Of Tsushima meets Studio Ghibli and Zelda in stunning new release

A stunning new game that looks like a mix of Ghibli and Zelda with vistas akin to those in Ghost of Tsushima is coming to Steam.

Studio Ghibli and The Legend of Zelda continue to be huge inspirations in the world of art, as evidenced by the hundreds of games we’ve had that take a clear influence from those styles.

As a fan of both, I’m happy to continue seeing us get new video games using this style. Both are home to some really lovely art and narrative styles, and prove to be popular for that very reason.

Kibu by Studio Inkyfox is an upcoming β€œatmospheric adventure” that’s just had its first gameplay trailer released.

You may remember Inkyfox as the studio behind Omno, which has been an Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus gem in the past.

It’s also being published by Future Friends Games, which has produced some absolutely lovely indies in the past. Consider me very interested.

β€œFrom the creator of Omno, Kibu is an atmospheric adventure game about seeking wisdom in the heart of nature,” the game’s official description reads. β€œClimb, glide, and fight your way through a series of stunning worlds, collecting treasures and encountering spirits on your journey to resurrect the ruined temple you call home.”

It continues, β€œAs a solitary monk dwelling in the wilderness, you’ll use the power of your staff to climb, glide and fight your way through a series of stunning worlds. Commune with the spirits of the land and gradually rebuild the ruined temple you call home.”

Kibu doesn’t have a release date yet, but Future Friends Games has said that it is set to launch later this year.

It’s currently only confirmed for PC via Steam, but similar to Omno, I’m sure it’ll hit consoles at a later date. It looks like the perfect game for Nintendo Switch 2.
