The Microsoft Corporation has released its financial report for the fiscal year 2025, which ended on June 30. It highlights a new record set by its gaming division and the success of the Game Pass subscription.

- Xbox’s annual revenue increased by 9%, reaching an all-time high of $23.45 billion.
- Out of this amount, $5 billion was generated by Game Pass. According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, the subscription has never generated so much money in any previous year.
- Overall, revenue from Xbox content and services sales grew by 16%. Game Pass and games from Activision Blizzard contributed significantly to this growth.
- Meanwhile, revenue from gaming hardware fell by 25% due to a decrease in console sales.
- Throughout the year, Xbox Cloud Gaming users spent over 500 million hours playing on the service.
- At the end of the fiscal year, the total number of monthly active players across all Microsoft platforms and devices remained at 500 million, the same as it was a year ago.
- Currently, Xbox-owned studios are working on nearly 40 new games.
